Description:
David Mixner, veteran LGBTQ+ activist has died March 11, at his home in New York City. The cause was complications of long-term COVID; he was 77. Mixner's advocacy spanned from the 1960s movements for civil rights, to the 21st-century fight for marriage equality, and advised Bill Clinton on gay and lesbian in the military. They parted ways on Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. Mixner co-founded the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund in 1991.
