Description:
Bob Newhart, the satirical comic who starred in 2 huge hit CBS TV series between 1972 & 1990 –“The Bob Newhart Show” & “Newhart”- died on July 18, at 94. Newhart was nominated for Emmys for best actor for 3 years in a row, but he would receive his 1st Emmy in 2013 for guest actor on The Big Bang Theory. Prior to TV, Newhart released 3 comedy albums, one garnering 3 Grammys & all featuring observational humor, a new comedic approach at the time.
