Description:
Steve Lawrence, a popular easy-listening crooner & half of the duo Steve and wife Eydie Gormé, died Thursday of complications from Alzheimer’s, at age 88. The performing couple had great success touring, and as TV stars in the ’50s, ’60s & ’70s. Lawrence was a Grammy and Emmy winner, and a Tony nominee. As a solo artist, Lawrence reached the top of the charts with, “Go Away Little Girl.”
