Description:
Neil Sedaka, the singer-songwriter behind pop classics including Breaking Up Is Hard to Do and Calendar Girl, died Feb 27 at age 86. One of the most successful hitmakers of early rock and roll, Sedaka sustained chart success across more than six decades as both performer and composer. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he later received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
