Description:
Alice Munro, short story writer and Nobel Prize winner, has died. She was 92. Born and raised in Canada, Munro’s 1st story collection, Dance of the Happy Shades, won Canada's Governor's General's Award. It had been said by other writers that some of Munro’s stories were “near perfect.” Her stories featured extraordinary themes with ordinary characters. Munro was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013, 1 year after Dear Life was published.
