Description:

On July 25, 1956, the SS Andrea Doria was bound for New York City from Italy. While approaching the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts, the ship collided with the SS Stockholm bound for Sweden in a heavy Atlantic fog killing fifty-one passengers on the Andrea Doria.
