Description:
James Burrows, the Emmy-winning television director and co-creator of Cheers, died June 18 at 85. Over a career spanning five decades, he directed more than 1,000 episodes of TV, including every episode of the original Will & Grace. Burrow also worked on the TV hits Taxi, Frasier, Friends, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show (his first job). Burrows won 11 Emmy Awards and 5 Directors Guild of America Awards. He is survived by his wife Debbie Easton.
