Clive Davis, the legendary music executive who shaped popular music for more than six decades, died June 22 at 94. One of the industry’s most influential figures, he guided the careers of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, Alicia Keys, and many others. A five-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Davis helped define generations of American music.
