Description:
Philly’s own Sylvia Benton, a Private First Class, assigned to the all black female Central Postal Directory Battalion unit, known as the “6 triple 8.” The unit, featured in a @Netflix movie, was given the difficult task of delivering millions of pieces of unprocessed mail that the Army could not get to the troops on the front lines, for months or years. Need we say the unit was extremely successful?
