Description:
Mitzi Gaynor, the effervescent dancer/actor who starred in the 1958 film, “South Pacific,” died Oct. 17 at 93. Gaynor is one of the last stars of the golden age of the Hollywood musical, & appeared with Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. Her career spanned 8 decades across film, TV and stage. In later years, Gaynor performed in the U.S., UK & Australia in her own musical revue.
