George J. Kresge Jr., who was known to TV viewers as The Amazing Kreskin, died Dec. 10 at 89. Kreskin launched his television career in the 1960s & remained popular for decades. His mind tricks included correctly guessing a playing card chosen at random, and divining where his paycheck had been planted among the audience. Kreskin appeared on talk shows such as Merv Griffin, Johnny Carson & Jimmy Fallon, & continued appearances until early 2024.
