Description:
Susan Buckner, an American actor best known for her role as school spirited, Rydell High cheerleader Patty Simcox in the 1978 musical “Grease,” died May 2. She was 72. Buckner was cast alongside John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Buckner continued working on movies and tv shows, and co-starred in the ABC series “When the Whistle Blows. Buckner spent the latter part of her life teaching & directing several children’s theater productions.
