Emmy-winning, Canadian-American actor Catherine O’Hara died Jan. 30 at age 71. One of the most accomplished comic actors of her era, O’Hara found fame on SCTV, and then became indelible in films including Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and Best in Show. O’Hara won an Emmy as Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek. Across five decades, her improv, invention, and mastery reshaped screen comedy. She is survived by her husband and 2 children.
