Description:
Steve Ostrow died on February 4, 2024 in Australia, at 91. Ostrow was a businessman, LGBT rights activist, and opera performer. He founded the famed New York City gay establishment Continental Baths, in 1968, and hired performers including Bette Midler. The Baths closed in 1976 and Ostrow went on to sing with various operas in New York City, San Francisco and Australia.
