Description:
The idea of a horizon is important because it represents possibility and opportunity for Janie. In the beginning, her Nanny took this horizon and limited her to a loveless marriage. Eventually, she left it for a sight of a change towards improvement with Joe. Even though she did not find fulfillment with him, at the end of the book it states differently. Even after Tea Cakes death, she is at peace because of the love and freedom he shows her.
