Author Barbara Taylor Bradford, known for best-selling novels including A Woman of Substance, died Nov. 24 at age of 91. Published in 1979, A Woman of Substance sold 30 million copies & prompted a popular TV adaptation. It was the first of her 40 novels; others include the Ravenscar, Cavendon and the House of Falconer series. British by birth, Taylor Bradford became a US Citizen in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Bradford.
