Description:
The white peacock that Guitar and Milkman chase as they talk about the gold has a significance past the surface level. It represents the greed that they feel coursing through them as they talk about being rich. The peacock is a very flashy bird that shows off a lot to attract attention and a mate. This is akin to what Guitar and Milkman plan to do with the gold.
