Description:
Malachy McCourt, American actor and writer of Irish ancestry, died on March 11. He was 92. McCourt, born in New York City, was the younger brother of author Frank McCourt. He was raised in Limerick, Ireland, and returned to the United States in 1952. McCourt acted in a few movies and plays, but mainly in tv soap operas. McCourt authored 2 memoirs, including his well received, "A Monk Swimming." McCourt married twice and had 4 children.
