Anouk Aimée, the French actress known for her elegance and sophistication in films including “A Man and a Woman,” the Fellini classic “La Dolce Vita” and “Lola”, died on June 18, 2024, at 92. Aimée was nominated for a best actress Oscar for her role opposite Jean-Louis Trintignant in “A Man and a Woman” — one of a relatively small number of actors to be so nominated for a performance in a foreign film. It enjoyed an enormous commercial success.
