Sir Anthony O'Reilly, one of Ireland’s leading businessmen and former rugby player, has died in Dublin. He was 88. O’Reilly was described as "one of the greatest of all the players to have worn the famous red jersey". He built an international media business which owned more than 100 newspapers. O’Reilly eventually lost control of the business and was personally bankrupted late in life. O’Reilly was knighted for service to Northern Ireland.
