Description:
Palestinian photojournalist and the focus of a documentary to be featured at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival Fatima Hassouna, was killed April 18 in an air strike along with 10 of her relatives. She was 25. Hassouma graduated from the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza, & documented the daily life, devastation and death of Gazans since October 7, 2023. The Israel military said it had been a targeted strike on a Hamas member.
