Description:
Jerry West – legendary NBA player & inspiration for the league’s logo, died June 12, 2024. He was 86. West was an All-Star in all 14 of his NBA seasons & part of the 1972 Lakers championship winning team. West was general manager of championship teams with the Lakers, & drafted Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kobe Bryant & Shaquille O’Neal. Known as “Mr. Clutch”, West remains the NBA Finals’ all-time leader in total points & free throws made.
