Description:
Whistleblower of the Tuskegee Study, Peter Buxtun, who revealed that the US government allowed hundreds of Black men in rural Alabama go untreated for syphilis from 1932 to 1972, has died on May 18 at 86. Buxtun is revered as a hero for his bringing to light the most notorious medical research scandal in US history. Buxton compared the study to medical experiments Nazi doctors conducted on Jews & other prisoners in WWII.
