Description:
Dick Cheney, former U.S. vice president, defense secretary, and Wyoming Republican congressman, died Nov 3 at age 84. Serving under President George W. Bush, he helped shape U.S. foreign policy after Sept. 11, including the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Cheney earlier served as defense secretary under George H. W. Bush and chief of staff to Gerald Ford. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, and daughters Liz and Mary.
