New York City chef James Kent suddenly passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 45. Kent, a renowned chef and owner of NYC’s Crown Shy, Overstory, and Saga restaurants. Crown Shy and Saga are Michelin-starred. Earlier in his career, Kent worked at Babbo, Jean-Georges, Eleven Madison Park and NoMad. Kent was preparing for a company expansion backed by LeBron James.Kent is survived by his wife and their 2 children.
