A white nationalist inspired by the Christchurch mosque shooting and racist rhetoric from President Donald Trump committed an act of domestic terrorism by mounting a mass shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, on the morning of August 3, 2019. The white gunman shot and killed 22 people and injured 24 others. His guns were purchased legally.
