Description:
Paul Alexander, one of the last people living in an iron lung after he contracted polio in 1952 at age 6, died of COVID at the age of 78. Alexander earned a bachelor's degree and law degree at the University of Texas at Austin. He self-published a memoir in 2020. Alexander was a Guinness World Records holder as the person who has spent the longest amount of time living in an iron lung.
