Description:
Erica Garner (May 29, 1990 – December 30, 2017) was an American activist who advocated for police reform, particularly in the use of force. Garner became a Black Lives Matter activist following the death of her father, Eric Garner, in 2014 after NYC policeman Daniel Pantaleo placed him in an illegal chokehold during an arrest for selling loose cigarettes.
