Italian chemist Francesco Rivella, known as the “father of Nutella”, died Feb 14 at 97. Rivella began working at “the chemistry room” at Ferrero – an Italian chocolate and confectionary company – in 1952. In 1964, the world’s most famous hazelnut spread was introduced to the world. According to the company, Nutella is made of 7 ingredients, sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, milk, cocoa, lecithin and vanillin. World Nutella Day is celebrated on Feb. 5.
