Description:
Iris Apfel, American businesswoman and fashion designer, known for her flamboyant style, outspoken personality and oversized eyeglasses, died March 1, 2024. She was 102. Apfel worked alongside her husband Carl from 1950 to 1992. The were married 67 years until his death at 100 in 2015. Apfel became a fashion icon in 2014, and was the focus of the 2014 documentary, Iris.
