Edie Ceccarelli, the oldest American and second oldest person in the world, died on February 22, 2024, two weeks after her 116th birthday. When Ceccerelli was born in 1908, Teddy Roosevelt was President. She lived through 2 pandemics and 2 world wars. Ceccarelli loved people, and dancing. She was known for taking walks around town, always dressed in a hat and gloves.
