Description:
Roberto Cavalli, Italian fashion designer who dressed models in leopard-print dresses, bejeweled distressed jeans, and other flashy clothes, has died on April 12, 2024. He was 83. In the early 1970s, Cavalli invented a printing process on leather. Cavalli became one of the biggest names in fashion when in the 1990s, he reinvented luxury denim with a sandblasted look, and then with Lycra to give a sexier fit.
