Description:
British actor Olivia Hussey, best known for her portrayal of Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli’s controversial 1968 film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, died Dec. 27 at age 73. Born in Buenos Aires, her father was Argentine tango singer Osvaldo Ribó. Hussey’s role as Juliet garnered international acclaim and a Golden Globe award. She would continue to act for another 5 decades in film and TV.
