Country music star, songwriter & actor, Kris Kristofferson, died Sept 29 at 88. His Me and Bobby McGee became a posthumous #1 hit for Janis Joplin in 1971. He won 3 Grammys: for best country song, 2 with 2nd wife Rita Coolidge. In film he starred in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore & opposite Barbra Streisand in the 1976 version of A Star Is Born. In 2023, in one of his final appearances, Kristofferson sang Loving Her Was Easier with Rosanne Cash.
