Description:
Ratan Tata, the former iconic businessman & Tata Group chairman died Oct. 9 at 86. Through making changes at the top, founding major Indian companies, & purchasing international companies such as Britain’s Tetley tea firm and Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus, Tata raised the profile of the Indian conglomerate during his 20-year tenure. After stepping down as Chair, Tata was a prominent investor in Indian startups, backing a plethora of companies.
