Michael Emmet Walsh was an American character actor who appeared in over 200 films and television series, Walsh’s most famous roles include: Captain Harry Bryant in the film Blade Runner, and in the Coen brothers' first film Blood Simple, for which he won the first-ever Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead, Walsh had a reputation for generosity and wry wit. Walsh died in St. Albans, Vermont, on March 19, 2024. He was 88.
