Description:
Loretta Swit, who played Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan, on the pioneering hit TV series M.A.S.H., died May 30. She was 87. Swit won 2 Emmys for her role as the demanding head nurse of a behind-the-lines surgical unit during the Korean War. Her co-stars included Alan Alda, Mike Farrell and Jamie Farr.
