Description:
Sidney Poitier KBE (02/20/1927–01/06/2022) was a Bahamian-American actor, film director, and diplomat. In 1963, he was the first Black actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. He received two competitive Golden Globe Awards and a competitive British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Poitier was the first actor to star in mainstream Hollywood movies that depicted a Black man in a non-stereotypical fashion. Post a fave photo here.
