Cai and Pipa were abandoned by their owners. I found them both on the street; Cai in Montezuma and Pipa in Santa Teresa.
Cai was dying from the local tick disease, ehrlichia, and Pipa was barefoot and pregnant.
They are now both happy, healthy and very grateful.
