Óscar Alberto Martínez Ramírez and his daughter Valeria died while trying to cross the Rio Grande 06/23/2019. Immigrants from El Salvador, the father drowned while trying to rescue his daughter. The incident was witnessed by Óscar’s wife, Valeria’s mother.
