Description:
Brian Keith "Herbie" Flowers, a British musician whose one of the best & most recognizable basslines in pop history, & featured on Lou Reed’s Walk on the Wild Side, died on September 5. He was 86. Flowers also played bass for David Bowie, David Essex, Paul McCartney, Bryan Ferry, Elton John & many more. He was a member of Blue Mink, T. Rex and Sky. By the end of the 1970s, Flowers had played bass on an estimated 500 hit recordings.
