Grammy-nominated R&B singer Angie Stone, a member of the all-female hip-hop trio The Sequence and known for the hit song “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” died March 1 in a car crash. She was 63. Stone grew up singing gospel music in church, then became a member of the early female rap group The Sequence in the 1970s. In the late 1990s, Stone helped pioneer the neo-soul sound. Stone was nominated for 3 Grammy awards over her career.
